Nice hair! It looks healthy and shiny! My point of view, doesn't look like you need one yet.

I'd say a nice trim is in order.

My two cents.
We all know what opinions are like...and I've got both!

Thanks for your reply.. my last trim was in January and I got just the front layers trimmed in Feb.. but I was planning to wait 'til August for a trim.. so that way I'll have longer hair by then and then I was going to go to GM hair salon in NYC and get it trimmed.. any thoughts? Will my hair get damaged if i don't get it trimmed?

There is absolutely no reason for your hair to be trimmed. Just grow it out. It looks fine.

Sunset,

Based solely on what I could see in the pictures, you don't need a trim at all. Your hair is very full and thick at the ends, and overall, appears healthy enough to make some people envious

Of course, the photos wouldn't show any split ends, yet it looks like you could go months, even years without a trim if you take good care of the ends.

IMHO,

Eric

Hi Sunset!

It appears that your hair needs no trim now. Nice thick full ends you have! And the GM salon idea sounds like a good one -- you know you can trust them not to trim too much. Are you maintaining layers or growing them out? Just curious...

THanks everyone for your suggestions and comments :) I'm probably going to wait 'til August.. that way I can get a trim every 6 months.. Dave: I haven't made up my mind about layers.. i'm most probably let them grow up atleast to my shoulder length.. not too crazy about chin length layers anymore.. so Let's see how that'll look. Thanks again!

You have beautiful, shiny hair that DOES NOT need to be trimmed. The ends look very thick and healthy. Keep in mind that people who advise you to trim are motivated to do so because of their personal preference of short hair.

You definately don't need a trim. Your hair is very thick and healthy looking, so unless there are some split ends that aren't visible in the photo, don't go for it. Does it dry like that naturally or do you have to style it?

Jenna,

I never really brow dried my hair much and after joining this group I completely stoped blow drying.. and I don't style it much either.. I just shampoo and condition w/ Redken All Soft and just sit infront of an electric fan for it to dry faster :)

Thanks!
