Thanks! I went there and figured out my hair type. I am a 3c.  I let my relaxer grow out about 7 yrs ago (wow, I can't believe it has been that long!!).  Now I am looking to get my hair back to the length it was when I was in high school, so wish me luck and the same to you ladies!

Ok- here it goes. I have been in cornrows for the last 3 weeks and still going strong. I have been moisturizing with shealoe butter, shapley's m-t-g, and Summit's liv. I co wash once a week with Capillo's Milk and Honey Rinse and shampoo/condition once a week. I plan on keeping them in another 3 weeks and trimming a half inch when i take them out. I am also drinking water and green tea and taking my vitamins. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Still hangin in there. I've seen alot of progress I've been stretching my relaxers. and my wash routine is:

*Prepoo with whatever cond I have around and dont really care for. Mixed with Liquid Shea

* Wash tiwce a week alternating Botianoil, and Therappe, followed by either Keraphix, or generic Humectress.

* I'm trying to cut back on all the products I use, so I just apply Sheabutter, and air dry. If I flat iron I apply some on my ends before doing so. So far so good... my ends look good, and my hair feels soft and has a great shine to it.

* I am trying not to trim untill July, or August.. I hope I can make it.

I am now in Micro braids and I have been using the doo grow and washing my hair once a week My hair seems to be growing fast with the braids as you all may or may not know I had to do a TWA and went natural. So far I am just using the products Pantene Pro v since I did not want to waste my money on un used products and after that is gone I will switch top the CON line because a lot of you all on this site have good results with it.
"God makes no mistakes" he created you the way you are suppose to be.

I don't know what I did but my hair is so smooth. I am 4 weeks post relaxer and my new growth has started to get puffy. Last time I washed my hair I used shea butter on my new growth to soften it up but it was still puffing up. When I washed my hair yesterday I used my normal shampoo and conditioner, used Infusium23 leave-in and put my hair in a ponytail. My new growth is so smooth it looks like I'm 4 days post relaxer. Also I have no frizz. I usually have little hairs sticking up on top by my part.

Ladies, have any of you tried Miss Jessie's Shingling method or been to the salon in NY?  The website gives you step by step directions.  I am curious as to what you guys think about it if you have tried it...

I haven't been able to take any pictures to track my progress. First my mom's camera was lost, then we found it but it needed batteries, then we got batteries for it and I took pics of my hair but I didn't upload them onto my computer yet and someone broke into our house and stole it.

Its a Ion anti-frizz solutions flat iron. My stepmom got it for me, before I thought they just made hair products, but they make flat irons as well. I'm pretty sure she got it from Sally's

Cebnn, how do you like the motions leave-in? My mom just bought it to use it on my niece but she hasn't used it yet.

well, as usual my hair isnt growing.

i just started taking the msm powder which is 3000mg. im loving elucence and kenra moisturising conds. im having a problem with dry ends so ive started doing the baggie method...finally. im using the elucence as a leave in. i use shea butter on my ends before the baggie. im still doing CO washes but ive decided to start clarifying every 2 weeks. that will be the only time ill use shampoos. my album is in my siggy. no great progress. i stopped using the MTG cos thats a little too much.  and oh, i havent used the motions leave in...yet. i havent used a lot of motions products. maybe i need to try those. ive heard a lot of good reviews about the CPR and silk protein. i made the mistake of getting the elasta qp DPR and that dried out my hair. yeah so, i dont have any major updates

Well... I haven't done much with my hair. I'm going thru some things so hair is the least of my worries. But lately...I just wore a wash and go. I rinse my hair after waking up with a one sided flat fro and sometimes put conditioner in it while washing to make it smell good. That's aboiut all i have done for the pass 2 weeks. I have new pics in my ablumhttp://public.fotki.com/jonesrey  i have 3 new pictures from about a month ago. I will take some shortly when I can.

I have used the Motions Leave-in. It's okay but I wouldn't make it a staple for myself. My hair doesn't take well to the Motions line although it doesn't damage it either. Once I'm done with my bottle, I will be trying another leave-in.
