I haven't tried it caramel, but I'll look for it! I've found "hair flowers" at Walmart already with the clip in the back. But I think Walmart also has flowers with the stem attached for about $0.88 to $2.00. I have some that I took the backs off and attached clips from the craft store to the back by sewing it on or hot glue gun.
I SPENT HALF THE NIGHT READING EACH AND EVERY POST ON THIS
THREAD LAST NIGHT....THIS MORNING I TOOK OUT MY HAIR EXTENSIONS
THAT I HAVE BEEN SPORTING FOR THE PAST MONTH!! I AM SO INSPIRED
TO GROW OUT MY OWN HAIR. :)
The pleasant surprise..my hair did actually grow a little bit with the
extensions in, but I know they do more harm than good. I am taking
NOURISH HAIR and BIOTIN from GNC. I also just started taking a
Chlorophyll tablet. I heard that also helps in hair growth. I use RELAX by
Freida and a KPAK weekly treatment. I'll keep y'all posted!
You ladies do rock. I have gotten so much information in the last week by reading the boards. My hair over the last 10 years has always been shoulder length, no longer and shorter when I have felt the need. I wash and condition but that is all. I have been to different stylist and only 2 in the past have actually cared about having healthy hair. I have now started taking vitamins religiously, drinking more water adding more fruits and veggies to my diet and I'm going to grow my hair out to it's maximum potential. For the last month I have been wearing it up because of the heat and humidity and I have noticed the growth. I struggle with going natural or not, but I have a goul to take better care and spend more time on my hair, you ladies are truely inspirational.
Life is a journey, Enjoy the ride.

Welcome Yolligirl and Hairspray. This is truly the spot if you need hair advice!! I was a member in the past and strayed but finally came back and December. It's amazing how much better you can care for your hair with just a little guidance!! Feel free to post anytime!!!!
Well on new years my hair was around 7 inches and right now it's 10 inches. Wow! (High protein diets really work guys I got a 1/2 inch is 2 weeks)
Products:
Cream of Nauture Shampoo
Nexxus Humectress Conditoner (New Find)
Bumble and Bumble Leave In Conditioner
WGO
100% Shea Butter
Aloe Vera Gel
I wash and deep condition my hair once a week. I detangle with my D5 then I set my hair in braids or twists apply my Shea butter before I do. I use my Bumble and Bumble when a rinse during the week. My WGO and Aloe Vera Gel come in handy for Wash and Go's as well as keeping my hair smooth whil it's in a puff.
I have been on a high protein deit for the last two weeks I try to get from 100-120 grams of protien a day. I drink at least 48oz of water a day and I also take Vit-B Complex and Vit-C Supplments daily. Oh I also take a table spoon of flax oil daily. I'm a dancer do I have to do some sort of excersise everyday, mostly pilates, yoga, cardio, and toning, some tea-bo and also the workouts I get from my ballet and hip hop classes.
My first hair goal is bra strap which will be 15 inches for me and I hope to reach it by the end of the year hoping my new deit countinues to boost my growth. My hair is natural so that would be bra strap when strecthed.
Ladies, have any of you tried Miss Jessie's Shingling method or been to the salon in NY? The website gives you step by step directions. I am curious as to what you guys think about it if you have tried it...
I might try that b/c last weekend I washed my hair and it was a big thick tangled mess. When it's wet is soft and wavy but it dries up like a puffy tangled afro. I have 3b/c hair. I was about to purchase a relaxer, but I think I'd liek to try this product first.

I know what you mean I'm type 4a so it's even worse for me. But what work for me is some leave in conditioner and a bit of gel, my shea butter also helps as well. You don't need a relaxer that won't help with the frizz. Find a good smoothing anit frizz product (like missjessies) and you should be fine.
Let me know how it works for you! I am going to NY this weekend so I will pick some curly pudding up then. I want the buttercreme too but it is too expensive for me. I will check the ingredients to see what it is made of, maybe I can mix up something similar. I will let you know how it works for me. My 3c hair has not been relaxed in 7yrs!
This is what it looks like when it is dry and unstraightened
Hey maybeline, what do you use to straighten your hair? It looks great!
I've been putting my hair in bantu knots at night and taking them down in the morning so its curly and wavy. I find it hard to stick with one style, but the good thing is I don't use heat or alot of products switch it.
