I'm 5'9" 184lbs. I bench 230lbs. my max 1 rep is 286(I fell off a lil), but I can curl 60 lb dumbells 12x , and I'm lifting for muscular endurance so I'm currently curling 40lb dumbells 30x each, I legpress 520lb, and I squat 415lbs(Yeah I know I'm a fcukin meathead) lol . I didn't want to make a whole thread about it but I have decided to temporarily quit waving and go to curls because it is easier to maintain, I'm doing it because the basketball tourney on my base is towards the end of December, and the main go2 guy left in June, so I'm going to have to get built like a tank to carry the load since I'm now the primary option. It is very hard to keep your waves intact when you are working out around the clock it can be done I've been doing that for years but I don't want no distractions, I can still lay my hair down and post for my obligated battles but thats it I'll be back to wavin after I feel like I am where I need to be power and conditioning wise.

@25 Cent-Lol I don't have much of a choice if I stop working out hard all that muscle will start to turn to fat.
@King Cash-Great progress you have noticeably improved and gaining much more definition. Your biceps are also starting to fill in, I recommend doing Hammer Curls to increase the definition of the bicep peak and the top of your forearms, so instead of curling normally with the dumbell being horizontal you curl with the dumbell in your hands vertically, reverse curls are good too for definition of the back of your forearms, try to keep doing movements that your body isn't used to and always mix it up and you will look similar to that guy you posted inside of 5 months.

They are strong because they carry around their weight. Big people have strong legs, but sometimes bad knee. As for what J said, one only has so much muscle in the body. After the age of 21-22 your body starts to decline. Meaning you are not gaining, maybe losing or you just stay the same. Every day that a muscle is not used it goes away, never to come back. So it would be in his best interest to always be active for the rest of his life. Also, when one lifts, one does not get more muscle but instead one increases the size of muscle mass. Just like doo gro. When used correctly, it fattens the hair particles. This in return gives the illusion of having more hair. So if I was J, I would continue to work out because he may never get back to where you were before. But he already knows this. Working out is just daily routine for us.

@ 25...Because the average person supposed to be able to at least lift their bodyweight, and if the person's fat...
But thanx everyone...I've been on my grind (i usually work out every muscle every other day because of my schedule). I also started doing cardio everyday (treadmill) because i've been told that ab excercise, a good diet, and cardio= 6 pack (and other suggestions...I'm all ears because i'm still new to workin out).
@ Jkid...I just started doing hammer curls about a week ago. And 5 months sounds good to me

By the way, this is how my average meal looks (Steak or chicken, rice, okra, also a whole apple) (i eat 5 of these plates a day...plus 2 bowls of cereal for breakfast...I'm not a morning person)

Damn that caught me offguard . But Cash that's a meal...my dorm doesn't come equipped with a kitchen....ghetto ass school. I generally have to get one of my girl---friends to cook it for me in their kitchens.
So for the last week my meals have been looking like this.
And for breakfast I have eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, hash browns & waffles with orange juice. I drink OJ like every second.
