i am definitely of the low maintenance camp with the PH and will say that it is doing great. I have blown the ends smooth probably 4 times so far in about 6 weeks...then either have worn it straight or curled it with flocked hot rollers (old school velvet ones - the kind that are a mix of sizes - i use all the sizes for nonuniform curls) with little brushing. today as a matter of fact at work i wore it down and 2 different people who haven't seen me in a while were like - wow your hair grows fast. they couldn't believe it wasn't my real hair?
i haven't posted more pics b/c i feel really jenny is so good at that..i will say i stay away from heat and really only wash my own hair and the ph maybe once a week now and let it air dry? the hair is holding up beautifully. i wash with a tea tree oil shampoo, use generic kerasilk conditioner followed by a fabric softener rinse and then the flasher spray or kerasilk (i was using the generic for a while and then got the real stuff - so much better!) and then i usually sleep with it in two pippy longstocking braids because i find it most comfortable and it keeps the wave up. i use the little paddle brush we discussed a while back in the am and in the pm and usually finger comb during the day.
overall i am so so happy i found this board, tried the PH, and went with pinchbraids...i really think you'll find the same! i'm getting my new install next monday...i cannot wait!

Cheryl! I was wondering how your PH is holding up. I know you posted about your pinchbraids still holding on strong but not about your hair...how's it going?

That's great, Syren! I was just checking out that site the other day,
and the photos are beautiful. (I think it's so funny, by the way, that
the DIYers are turning the stylists on to PlastikHaar--which reminds
me, I have to show Issac my rings next time I go there.) I usually tip
$50; the service costs me $350. :)
All this pinchbraid talk has pushed me over the edge. I just made an appt with Serina at deadlyhair in Huntington Beach, CA for May 20th. It's the day after my last radiation treatment which is the day I can put my hair back in. WOOHOO!!! Neither Serina nor the Hairpolice person she talked to (to clear it that I can bring my own hair) have heard of PH. She asked if I'd had PH pinchbraided before and I told her I hadn't, but plenty of you gals have so it's a-ok.
This is the second happiest day this year - just knowing I'll have hair again. May 20th will be the first!
