Thanks for the link....I'll know what to look for. I assumed they looked like dandruff cause other people described them as being little white balls and such.
I just rec'd my 2 hair toppers from HairHumanHair.com, and I glanced over them quickly, and was so excited that I tossed them on my bed and started to fiddle with them. On a closer examination, I noticed that there *are* some nits on it ...Oy :( In a state of panic, I ripped off my sheets and tossed them in the washer, and vacumned my rugs ..I don't see any live lice, because this hair looks like it's actually processed to heck (fine, fine hair ...I doubt coming from China, the hair would be so fine lol), but I'm still worried!
Just to clarify, the best way to deal with nits, would be to use the NiX lice treatment, comb, comb, comb, and wash a few times???
I guess I'm just hoping for a bit of reassurance, hehe - I've had lice quite a few times as a youngster in the village, and I don't think I can stand a repeat occurance.
Hey Aeone,
How was the construction of your pieces from hairhumanhair? Also how was the hair quality? Thanks

hmm... actually, my experience with hairpieces is pretty limited, i only have 1 topper from hairpiece.com to compare these with :(
they look rather well-made - the few things i might have problems with long-term would be that the mono top is thinner than what i'm used to, it feels fragile, but the handtied knots are sturdy and the poly rim is impeccable. It has a very natural looking part as well. Oh! - It's also very thin to me ...more natural, but I really <3 rocking big beautiful foofy haars :D .
The hair doesn't feel quite like indian hair - my apex topper is supposedly indian hair (it feels and looks way more voluminous). It doesn't feel like chinese hair either, but that's probably just my inexperience talking :D. The hair on the 2 hairhuman hair pieces is alot finer, and there were a few grays/bleached out hair in the mix, but I just plucked those out along with some nits. I also washed them 3x last night, and soaked it in a mix of olive oil and deep conditioner in between the washings - no colour bled, and I'm damn amazed that the hair remained soft and fine for the most part. I washed the hell out of it, hoping to get any and all silicone coating off - shocked the heck out of me to see it remain just about as fine and soft as before. We'll see how that holds up after some usage, though.
I let them air-dry with absolutely no products, they have a slight wave, and the bottom 3-4 inches definitely need to get trimmed off. I'll take some pix soon and post 'em for you to see .
[:Edit:]
here's a few pix, of the back, top and the inside:
(i sewed on the clips rather half-assed, pay them no attention)
Aeone, I know u ordered this topper from humanhair, but did you say
hairpiece.com has one similar to it? If so, which item is it? And is it
decent quality? TIA

I will admit it was an ugly thing when i first rec'd it, it felt icky, and looked nothing like a #33 - then i washed it a few times, on the recommendations from the wigsupport group. This a 'real' picture of it:
Also, it's a *very* thick fall, and it wasn't quite the 18" advertised - maybe only 10 strands were actually that long . I was left with about 14-15 inches after getting it trimmed up hehe :) I'm not totally sure if it's really "Remy" as advertised, either - I didn't have troubles with it either way, until I fried it with constant flat-ironing (it does have a bit of wave). I'm really rough on hair, and the only way I can tame the little beast now, is to soak it in a mix of olive oil/deep conditioner and use lots of xtra-strength frizz ease hehe
Chances are good that I'll be getting another one in the near future, tho :)
