i did contact her after the first week, and a few times after that,, telling her that they were shedding badly, but now after 5 weeks, i have no recourse,,i only came to ask here, to try figure out what went wrong, as she has no idea as well,,
Kim, you and I have are in the exact same situation.
I also went to Bridget and we used His and Her I-Tipped hair. I do notice a lot of shedding, tangling, and matting. But I trully dont think it is Bridget, it is the hair. The bond of the hair has discolored into an off white color which dont look too pretty. Right before this install I was also wearing GL. The GL bonds also discolored but at least it was still black, or off black.
Now with His and Her and into the 3rd week, I also notice I have glue stuck in my own hair. And each time I wash at least one will come off. Like you, I am also afraid to wash my hair.

i dont believe its the hair, my glue is soft, and i can get them out my hair with my nails, i dont even need the acetone,, i believe they might have been a bad batch of glue sticks,,
i have globs of glue in my hair with no hair attached to them anymore, except for my own fine hair,,
i feel like it was an expensive ordeal to last only 5 weeks,,
i dont believe it is anything that we have done,, if we are both having the same problem, it is the glue,,
I know what you mean, for me the $400.00 I spent for heat seal for almost 5 weeks was expensive. By week 3 there were some coming out every day just at touching my hair, I made it last to four weeks and then took them out on week five because I would have to pay for the replacement pieces. I just decided that heat seals weren't for me, and went back to shrinkies.
It does sound like it's the glue that is the problem, I would try to find out where it came from so your sure not to use it again.

Kim, yes I agree it is the glue, I was just saying the hair as a whole is the problem, not the installation. The hair is not so bad, but they did tangle quite a bit for me.
Well you should feel better that yours lasted 5 weeks, I am only on week 3.
If we are right and the glue is the problem, do you think coating the tip before putting them on the hair would have helped?

yes, and i suppose that we should be mad, as it cost us good money, and i believe the stylist should have put new hair in, at no charge,,
i complained from the first week of shedding,, and after the third week, she offered to put more hair in for me, but never got my emails for the next 2 weeks, as her spam 'blocked' my emails, suddenly,,, so after retrieving my emails, 5 weeks later, i was told it was too late ,,
i dont believe that was good customer service, as i was not the only one this happened to,,
thanks for responding

Well dayum. This whole thread is despressing; bad installs bad hair, bad glue, bad service, no helping the customer. What the hell, man. I've gotten samples from those suppliers that sell that flashpoint. It blows. Hard.
Well I was just doing a search for "shedding" because my fusion is shedding horribly, and ran into this post again. I'm very curious, did your stylist purge the bonds with a heat wand? I'm just trying to figure it out because I'm using the same glue that someone else uses but doesn't have this problem. So I wonder why I have this problem.
Shedding happens with most fusion installs. May times I think it's the glue that breaks down, and sometimes it just wasn't put in properly.
Each strand must be covered with glue or else it will shed. I myself could never master fusion due to shedding problems, so I don't even bother offering it.
So I don't get yelled at, let me say that some people here are very good at doing fusion and apparently it doesn't shed for them, but that's not the experience I have found with myself or with most of the stylists I have talked to who try to do fusion.
I have redone many installs and even bought new hair for clients (out of pocket) when something has gone terribly wrong, but thank goodness with shrink links that doesn't happen a lot!
If Boogie won't help you, I guess just chalk it up to experience and move on. It's her bad karma that will come to haunt her.
Try shrinkies or the protubes next time, I think you'll be happier.
I am going to south africa next month, and going to get GL done there again,, it only cost $4 per strand,, well worth it,,
i wont be trying fusions again,, the glue remained sticky until i took them out,, i had them sticking to other strands and creating masses of sticky hair,,there was definetly something wrong with that glue,,
it was awful,,
Christmas wishes to everyone here,

I don't know. I'm just baffled and don't want to give up fusion because I have done installs where there was no shedding. I guess I'll have to keep trying to figure it out (at least until I get so frustrated that I actually do give it up).

I had GL done before,, and had very little shedding, they worked beautifully for my hair,, so i cant figure out why these other fusions did not work,,the glue never hardened,, it remained sticky for the 3 months i had them,,?
