ATG IS PERFRECT IF YOU CUT YOUR OWN HAIR.!!!!!!!!!!!!! if the barber cuts it then it does'nt matter which one. If you give yourself WTG u can accidentaly go ATG goin lower in one spot than the otha. I LOVE ATG!!!!!!!!!!! Those pics of mine are afta ATG.............(so no you can't lose your waves ATG)

i get my cut with the grain because it goes with the pattern of my head. i believe that it allows my waves to grow and get deeper and strengthen.
