Is there still room?  I'd like to be added onto the ban wagon too.

I'm starting to see results with my treatments.

WGHO really helps with my breakage. Right now, I'm using VO5 shampoo/conditioner. It's the Hydrators Glacial Splash for added moisture. My scalp certainly isn't dry. But the problem is that my hair is really hard now. I think it's because of doing too much the last time I washed my hair. Still, I want my hair to be super soft. I've enjoyed the Garnier line and I may try out the Dove line.
So I'm still learning a lot but hopefully I'll get it in gear. Keep up the good advice guys, I really enjoy your advice. Thanks.
Hi Canopy44! Glad to have you! I love this forum! I've
only been here for about 3 weeks, but I've learned so much.
I use Nioxin & Doo Gro products only, the most being
Nioxin. I still use grease, but only once a week (after w
ashing I grease my scalp in large sections before hood
drying). So far, my routine is resulting in good progress;
less breaking, shedding, etc. All thanks to the advice of
these wonderful ladies! Hope you enjoy the site!

Hi Layla and Honeydoo,

I use MTG two times a week.

I wash and condition my hair daily and wear braid-outs.

It's just that simple.

BTW, many people have asked me about the avatar.  It's just my hair inspiration.  The length of my hair is just the tip to my shoulders.

Thanks for the welcome.

P.S. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I trim my hair every month depending on the condition of my ends...(full moon calendar)

Queencato1, Welcome!! It's never to late. just remember when you started and your year will end then!

Hair Goddess, My mom trims on the full moon calendar as well. I use to, but now I just trim when necessary, which for me is usually 4 months or so. Also, how is the  MTG working for you so far? Have you seen improvement??

I have a question about Surge - has/does anyone use/d it?  If you use it now or have used it, how does/did it work for you?  I'm interested and would like to try it, but just wanted to know what you ladies think/thought about it.  Thanks, as usual!

Hi Kbaby (Lala ). I use Surge every day and have done so for the past 6 months or so. I have not noticed extreme growth in 14 days (as it claims) but I have noticed growth and would attribute it in part to Surge. Some people have posted that it causes irritation but I have not found that to be the case at all and like I said. I use it EVERY DAY!!! Others have also complained that it is a style killer (that is very true) but I co-wash/re-wet my hair daily as well so that is not an issue for me. Definitely on your wash days, I recommend it. It's great. Just make sure that you follow up with a moisturizer because Surge is a mild protein. And hey, we can never have to much moisture in our hair, right?  HTH! -GHG

Kbaby, thanks for the welcome!  I love this site, there's so much to learn.  I actually have a small notebook by my computer where I write down facts and info about my hair that I didn't know about. Needless to say, it's already quite full.

I do have a question for you. How do you like the Doo Gro products and which ones do you use? I saw it in the store today and I was tempted to buy it ( I ended up buying VO5 strawberries and cream moisture milks conditioner...the smell was so great, i couldn't pass it up).  I may switch from WGO to Doo Groo, or at least add it into my growing list of products that I use, so let me know how you like it and what it's done. Thanks!

Welcome Canopy44! I don't normally use Doo Gro Products but I do have the Hair Growth and Thickening Oil. So far, I do have less shedding and it keeps moisture in and a nice shine to my hair. The smell is ok for the first day or so, then it starts to smell alittle weird. I've tolerated it though.

I use the Mega Thick Hair Grease and any one of the oils (I think there are three).  I still use the leave in for the time being - mixed it with my Pantene leave in until they run out; switched the leave in to Nioxin, also.

When I initially began using the Mega Thick grease, it is because I noticed my edges were beginning to thin excessively.  After 3 weeks of using it, my hair had grown back!  I was sold on it!  After the leave in is all gone, I'll continue to use the grease & oils (I like to put it on my scalp if dry and itchy and on my hair if it starts to break too much between washings).

Hope that helps your decision!

Cool.  Some people don't believe in trimming this time of the year.  It works for me though.

Honeydoo and Kbaby, thanks for the info on the Doo Gro. I think I may use

that one time instead of buying WGO. It seems like it works just as well

as WGO. I'm always on the hunt for new products, so thank you very much.

No problem. So far, I like it. It's not too greasy or thick, yet not to light.
