I didn't know you''re 6'1 too btw the best way to get your curl up is by doing body weight pull ups ( go all the way down then pause then up back up) Im curling 50lbs 6x6 with 1 min of rest. But my arms are small... I dont get it either LOL!!

By increasing your cardiovascular capacity (treadmill, sprints, Excercise bike, Eliptical Machine, and Calisthenics). By the way if you have access to a beach or a pool, swimming is very good as well.

I curl 40lbs dumb bells 10x10 with 90seconds of rest. I have a fast metabolism too but I did and still do calisthenics. That was the fastest way I was able to gain some bigger arms...that and buying a 35lb dumb bell lol. I did the 35lb dumb bell everyday for about a month and a half over the summer. I seem my arms get bigger as a result.
