I have been both. Women seemed to love trying to prove the dumb blonde stereo type was true.

Men or the men I came in contact with seemd to hold the thinking about blondes being easy, and I did seem to stand out more.

As I said before, I felt prettier as a blonde maybe its because I was treated differently. I'm not sure. I felt more confident and more fun, maybe it showed in my personality thus causing people around me to automatically treat me better?? I must say that I do feel sexier as a brunette though. My husband prefers me brunette, maybe that is why. But I guess I always want what I don't have. When I am blonde, I want to be dark and mysterious again, but when I am brunette I want to be light and fun.

The only thing that kind of annoys me is how hollywood really boasts about blondeness. Like E! had a show this year about Hollywoods Hottest Blondes. They had catagories like "Blonde Bombshell," "Smarted Blonde," "Most Ambitious Blonde" I remember Pam Anderson hosted it. Most of the stars on that show are not even natural blondes. Nor are they even blonde ALL the time. Why don't they have a show about Brunettes?

I don't know. It's like, I get happy with the brown hair and then some external source (like the media) make me feel like its better to be blonde. Like being blonde is some kind of key to get attention and be more successful??

I think men treat blondes and brunettes differently, more often than women do. A lot of men seem to be very visually-oriented, and very prone to stereotypes. Thus, they see the blondes as being fun, sexy, and yeah, sometimes airheaded or easy. Brunettes are seen more as smart, shy, dependable, serious. . . more the friend or the one you settle down with than the hot date. I guess women more often know how changeable hair is, and thus are less likely to make assumptions and stereotypes based on it. More often, if a woman makes a bad remark about another woman, it's out of cattiness or jealousy more than just some stereotype.
The reason why a lot of celebs are artificial blondes is because female celebs generally want to appeal to males. A lot of males prefer blondes, thus a lot of female celebs go blonde to be popular with them.
What I think, usually it doesn't matter to me if a woman is blonde or brunette, so long as it suits her. I try to judge attractiveness and intelligence on a case by case basis; I see Jessica Simpson as stupid because she presents herself as such, not because she's blonde. I have wanted to be a blonde in the past, only because it's easier to dye over than dark hair and doesn't show grey as quickly. Dark hair doesn't really bother me other than those two factors, and the fact my natural shade is too mousy :-P . I like a redder brown.
More awesome than a manatee!

I think that the stereotypes are fading away, but it's more a reflection of the fact that blondes (real or otherwise) are no longer unusual enough to make ignorant generalizations about.

In high school almost every girl is either dyed blond or highlighted blond.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Do you think people treat blondes differently from brunettes? Have you ever noticed that alot of older women for example highschool teachers, treat blonde teenage girl students differently than brunette students?

Is it true that a lot of dark haired young women envy natural blondes and want to be blonde? Is that why alot of celebs these days are artificial blondes??

What do you think of when you see a blonde girl? What do you think of when you see a brunette girl?

Is blonde hair prettier than brown?

I don't think all brunettes are envy of blondes, but I'm sure some are as well as some blondes are envious of brunettes.

Some blonde hair is pretty and other blondes not so much. I think some brunettes are pretty and some are not pretty at all.

I do think that blondes are treated differently sometimes sometimes in a good way and sometimes bad. I think that has to do with the person giving the treatment, stereo types unfortunately are alive and well for some ppl.

I think older women can treat other women badly if the other woman is very attractive- jealousy, but I don't know if that has anything to do with hair color. Then again it might but we are getting back to stereo types again.
I think many women go blonde not just celebs bc they think its pretty color, celebs might do it bc they think their career will go farther.

If I see a blonde with pretty hair, I think she has pretty hair, same with a brunette. I don't always think blonde hair is prettier, I have seen unattractive colors in both.

I wanted to add that some brunettes that are seen as shy- might not be timidity rather introverted.

In my experience, these stereotypes are things of the past. I think most people realize these days that anyone who still harbors such stereotypes is being silly. I don't think anything different when I see a blonde girl, or a brunette girl, why would I?

People will always have their personal favorites when seeking a mate, but for anyone who prefers blondes, there is an equal number of people who prefer brunettes, or redheads, so it all works out.

I think a lot of the blonde hype had to do with the thought that being beautiful was being tall, tan, blonde and blue eyed. I think this is now changing, I think people are begining to realise that everyone can be beautiful regardless of their haircolor. I personally perfer dark, but that is because I have dark hair. I don't think all blondes are dumb, and I don't think all brunettes are smart or shy.

I deffiently don't envy a blonde girl. I also would'nt say that anyone treats blondes differently. Other than the occasioal dumb blonde joke, which is uncalled for.

I don't really think anything about someone being blonde or brunette, if I have a good first impression of someone it's based on thier personality, not hair color.

As far as blonde hair being prettier than brown, it just depends on how the haircolor looks on the particular person. I personally would look awful as a blonde, but my Best Friends looks beautiful.

Personally as far as color goes, I think deep rich browns can be very beautiful and mysterious looking if you will. I like certain blonde colors like Jessica Simpson's 'baby blonde.' For some reason I feel prettier when I am blonde, maybe because I preceive others to think of blonde as a more femanine color. More light, pastel, angelic than brunette? I don't choose to feel this way obviously. As my natural haircolor is very dark. Do any of you feel the same or different?
