I am a newbee to this forum, actually still a newbie to the computer!

My name is Karin Hiebert, yes thats my real name!

I have been a professional hairstylist for over 30+ years, always self employed...

until I "burnt" out a few years ago, and couldn't take working "behind" the chair anymore!

I am and always have been passionate about hair, cosmetology, fashion,  in general and also have been a high profile award winning stylist...

I am happy to have found the internet, and this forum...I would love to share, and help here online as much as I can!

So ask away! I will share my experiences, knowledge, horror, humorous hair stories as well for anyone interested...

Who knows maybe one day I will write an E -book or something online...

for now, I will hang here and help, or contribute...

meet people and have fun with people, who are all about hair as well!

Karin

Hi! I am Kate and I have long hair. I swear I am a brunette but my husband is convinced my hair is kind of red. So we might agree to disagree or we might just call it auburn because I'm not sure either of us is exactly right. :-)

I do lots of writing on beauty and hair topics, and I love helping people with hairstyles and makeup tips. Nice to meet you all!

Hello Everyone,

I am here today because i am in search of a good salon that will do what you want them to do!!!   had a terrible experience with my most recent adventure to find the perfect hair cut and color.  Spent a ton of $$ and time all to get the same drab hair cut and color after i brought in pictures, explained what i wanted, got sweet talked by the hair dressers.

So, any one on long island in new york, even NYC,  that knows a good place to go for my future reference.  I don't mind spending the $$ at a salon if i will walk in to work the next day and people will notice. :)

Im 25 yrs old, just had a little munchkin 5 months ago and i'm looking to get a fresh, sexy, edgy look.

Any suggestions please let me know!!!

Thanks

Hi everybody,

my name is Susanne and I live in Germany. I found this site while doing some research on lace wigs (we don't have them over here). I am hoping for answers to a plethora of questions (have learnt a lot already). And maybe, within some time, I will be able to help the newbies ...

Um... hi (;
I'm Jessica and I'm fourteen
and I want to do something different with my hair.
Right now, it's blonde at the end but growing in a light color of brown, sort of. (I don't even know why it grew in like that, because the blonde's normal XD)
But I kind of want to cut it really short but I don't know if I should? Wacko

Hi,http://www.pozasalon.com/index.php/site/team/

You can read all about the salon at

Zahava, a native of Charlotte, NC, began her career in 1999. Shortly after her internship, she traveled to L.A., Miami , New York and London, to further her training with the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy. Early in her career she participated in North Carolina State Competitions for haircutting and won twice. This, in turn inspired her to work with students and interns teaching them everything learned from abroad. Over the past few years, Zahava has quickly become one of the most sought after stylists in Charlotte. The loyalty of Zahavas’s clientele is attributed to her innate understanding of what looks best on a woman from a woman’s perspective. Her passion for this craft is unsurpassed.

Hello all, I'm Jeanette, I am from Florida. I am new here and have learned a lot in the few days I've lurked around. I am interested in information on Fusion extension installs. I am seriously considering giving it a shot myself. I'm confident that with a little help from friends i'll be able to accomplish it.

Thanks in advance. :)Tongue

Hi everyone,
I am a newbie today and think this is a fun place to be. I am a retired lady and have gone through 5 different cancers and radiation. I think that this all has really thinned my hair. Its been 8 years ago but my hair is getting so very thin might say baldish in spots such as the sides and top front. I have been spraying brown Bumble & Bumble hair powder on the spots  I spray this powder til it makes my scalp brown and you dont see the bald spots as bad and my hair is a little thicker looking. Its a expensive way to go but the only one I know of. Its also messy. Does anyone else out there in hair land know of a product I could use thats not so messy and expensive that covers bald spots? I would appreciate any help from you all I could get. I live in the hight desert of Oregon and its pretty cold here right now. Hope all of you are healthy and Blessed.
Thanks for your time and help. I dont mind if you emailed me if you would rather do that what ever is fine with me.
Yours,
Carol
