Well I'm glad to see my BHM ladies will be sticking around here even though BHM is back up again.. I always liked it here because it was less drama, cool folks, and the forum software WORKS..
Plus ladies HB's owner is MAD cool.. If there is a need for a section on this message board she is truly willing to make it happen.. For example, they have a THRIVING Hip Hop community here.. Yep.. SURPRISE!!!! Now the 360 forums and the Hip Hops forums ain't my place to hang out.. but my point is the admin here is willing to respond to the communities needs..
So I hope to see more of you ladies stick around.. It would be cool for example to see the wig forums explode from the benefit of some of the BHM experts..
you don't have to worry, b/c not being a mod and having to deal with constant drama is a big relief for me.. i'd prefer to be somewhere without the drama and the stress associated with BHM, and just be regular and talk about stuff i enjoy.. i'm not returning to the "days of life's" soap opera...
I am cosigning on that! I love the few BHM ladies that I know over there but the drama is thick and continues to keep happening..oh well no need to dread it up over hear...just glad to find a board where I can learn and have some fun at the same time...
i guess being out the loop is a good thing..because i stay mostly in the weave and makeup section...it was only after someone posted a topic in the weave section that got moved to TTT that I realized there was soo much stuff I didn't know (KIR is a section I didn't even know existed..lol)...but I try to live as drama free as possible so it's a good thing i don't know...
anyway..the more hairboards..the merrier...

OMG CONGRAD'S ABOUT THE BABY! THAT'S SO WONDERFUL!! yes i've had it with drama and the BHM abuse i've been thru, they've turned me into an almost alcoholic.. i like the stress free life no more drama and responsibility..

What will it take to get this section going? The one thing I like about BHM is there is always something to discuss and plenty of people willing to discuss things...but I have ventured to other parts on this forum and don't feel like I fit in anywhere but here and it's sooooo quiet!!!

Honestly, I've never felt that way here.. I've learned a LOT about other extensions methods and hair in the extensions forum.. I've always been treated as an equal contributing member of this community, and I've never felt out of place here.. But I'm also a ballsy kinda girl, and I don't take no for a answer easily..
I think what many women of color see missing is the specific weave talk.. and it's not that it doesn't take place.. It does.. IMO it's just that not enough women of color have really stuck around the extensions forum for very long..
That's not to say that there are NO women of color in other areas besides this forum.. There's actually quite a few of us who are regular contributing members to this and other forums on this message board.. I think it just requires that more of us need to spend time here and MAKE this one of our online homes..
I would like to see more of the BHM experts contributing here and in the weaves and wigs forums too.. If I could get the good information minus the catty drama that sometimes jumps off on BHM, I would be ECSTATIC!!!

Oh no DivaV! Don't get me wrong I think this is a great site but I have to get used to the quietness of this board...and the different forums on here seem somewhat generic so I have to get used to the flow of things...I guess I am used to the complete breakdown of BHM...And I have ALOT of reading to do cause I still haven't figured out the 360 forum and have to adjust to the Hip-Hop forum....that's what I meant about not fitting...
I have no issue about who as in "race" is on the board, I know you can learn alot by picking up different things and techniques by all...
Truthfully I would like to start some posts but it seems not too many people respond (by the looks there are not too many posts and tons of old posts unanswered)...
All in all it will just take some getting used to...
