If your hair is severly damaged yu need to see your stylist and have the ends trimmed. There is no way around this as split hair can't be fixed like glued together again or anything.
Since you haven't mentioned what type of hair you have it's difficult to suggest products - but there are some things you can do to prevent split ends:
- avoid extensive heat styling like blowdry, irons etc. If you use them make sure you apply some preventing styling lotion first to limit damage
- allow your hair to dry by itself as often as possible
- don't sleep with hair in a scrunchie or even worse some elastic. Always use covered elastics especially designed for hair.
- condition your hair regularly. Use a good shampoo and conditioner - look around at this side, you are going to find some good information on what to avoid here already.
- let the towel soak the water out of your hair instead - wet hair is really fragile.
- don't brush it while wet, just use a wide toothed comb or your fingers to detangle it.
- get trims regurlarly. That might sound stupid since you want your hair to grow, but hair grows at a certain range and if you get trims every eight weeks (depending on your hair) only a small portion of this new length is taken away.

That might sound like an awful lot to do, but it's just adjustments to what you are already doing.

Good luck,

Leanan
