Hello!
I am a musical theatre major, and need advise for a hair style. I'm not sure how I should cut it...Right now it's shoulder length with layers - I'm considering cutting it lip-length. With musical theatre, I kinda want something modern but versatile, because for productions we don't always wear wigs. Should I grow it? Keep the layers or get a blunt cut? It's not too thick or too thin, and wavy.
I think you should cut it. Because you have to do productions and so on, you really want ot have a low-maintenance hair cut that is stylish too. You should look through some fashion magazines or something to see if there are any styles you like. Or you can just ask your hairdresser about low-maintenance hair styles and which one would be best for you. Your hairdresser will know what to do and you can rely on them to do a good job (unless they don't speak alot of English, lik my hairdresser, and you have to explain very thoroughly what you mean!). If you choose one from a magazine, then you can show that to your hairdreser and they'll do it for you. I hope I've heplped you out a bit.

I think that if it fits your hair type and face shape you should go for a bob. I'm a guy with my hair bobbed below my ears with bangs and I love it. This style is pretty low maintenance (except that I have naturally wavy hair and have to blow it straight). I love the versatility and movement of my bob. Just a suggestion though.
