Hey im a 14 male and i have a bowl cut to about my ears...girls out there help me out what should i change it too i need help.....what haiortsyle should be good to change froma bowlcut to a short hair cut....pplease email me or reply mcphornet@yahoo.com thank you!!!!!!
heya! i have an idea... the fashionable style right now is to have ur hair brushed forward with it sticking up at the front. This can be hard to acheive if u originally have a style with a parting. U'll need to get a strong gel to hold it up, otherwise it starts falling into a parting at the middle. Do THAT if u don't want to get it cut atall. If u WANT to get it cut, then ur hairdresser will cut it into that style for u. hope i've helped. :o)
As a former bowlcut wearer myself i can empathise with you. I wore a bowlcut up until last year in different lengths though.
My hair is currently in a longer version of the ubiquitous messy look.
anyway a good way to change is to go gradually different. Start with layering it. Then just let the undercut part go up higher and higher(if you can understand what i mean)
and the as soon as the part that hangs over is in line with your eyebrows, lose the bangs and start gelling it to make it look all messy.
Also instead of gel i'd reccomend Bedhead by Tigi. It can be found at salons.
Well, also a former bowlcut wearer, here's my suggestions. If you do part it, chances are you're hair will still part even if it's short. I was going for the brushed forward, sticking up in the front look, but couldn't get it my first hair cut because it kept parting. Also, I had a little cowlick in the back. (I've noticed this happens to a lot of people going from the bowl cut to something short.) Since my hair wasn't behaving like it should, I just shaved it all off (which didn't look that bad) and grew it into the style I wanted. The whole thing took about two months. Remember, even if you do get a bad cut, there's always hats. :)
