QuoteReplyTopic: Tell me your updo ideas for straight medium length hair, please? Posted: April 28 2000 at 4:04pm
I have fine, medium length sandy blonde hair. I hair an oval face, hazel eyes, and skin the color of Alicia Silverstone. I am not looking to cut it, but rather, I was looking for ideas on how to put it up. I know most of the usual ones, ponytails, buns, twisted hair in a clip (bitie ones)...but I am looking for somthing that I can do in the morning that is fairly simple. I would appreciate any ideas offered on how anyone does their hair.
I don't know if this will help, but sometimes I put my hair in a pony tail AND then I gently split the hair above the band into two pieces and pull the pony tail through backwards. I think it's called a topsy-tail but what ever. If you get any good ideas, tell me too would ya? "Ramgirl@americamail.com" (Don't send ads please)
Hey!!! I found an updo idea right here at hairboutique.com that can be made to look casual or dressy. Go to prom styles and then click on the 15-minute prom updo. I have shoulder length hair too and with a little bit of practice I got this style down good. All my friends love it and have asked me to do it to them too. It looks great and is super-easy!
k, ur talking to the queen of hairstyles here!! i give u the simple ones first!!!
1)Half up/clipped high - first put ur hair into a half pony(i hope u know what i mean) but put it so the pony is high up not in the back middle of ur head, then take a small small bananna clip and clip it under the pony but over the eleastic so that the so that the hair in the pony sprays over the clip!! it looks really cool when done rite!!
2) Take two small butterfly clips and take on one side of ur part same hair from the top front about the width of your pinky then pull it back (u can twirle it alittle if u want) and then clip the butterfly clip over it(make sure the hair is along put along side ur natuarl part!! and when u clip it make sure the clip is not more the leanght of your pinky back from ur forhead, then the do same thing on the other side of ur part!! it alos looks really cool if u have to strand of hair haging down in the front, one on each side of ur face!!
3)like the half up/ high clip one, u can do the same with a full pony!
4) Put yuor hair into a low low pony then twist it up and put a big or medium sized bananna clip over it!! diffenet heights of the bananna clip will give different looks!!
5) my favorite- Pull your hair back into a very messy bun then take a whole bunchof tiny butterfly clips and put them from one ear over the top of head to the other ear clip them into ur hair evenly spaced!! this saves time from twisting each piece then clipping it then pulling it back lol!
here`s one...it`s sort of a messy bun variation, but I think it looks really cool and different. Pull your hair back into a low ponytail and divide it into two sections, then take those sections and sort of tie them together, like you were tying a knot using the two pieces of hair. You should be able to get two knots in (it works best on wet hair). Then just take some pins and pin the knotted hair to your head. You can add a banana clip or some little clips two, and the ends of the sections of hair sort of spread out and look really neat.
