Hey I need a more effective way of spiking my hair. Punk style. I've been using egg white and soap but it really is a bit grotty. I'd rather use houshold products since it's friggin' hard to get your hands on products people suggest to buy at shops. So can anyone help? Please...
Well I am not professional stylist yet but I know of some product that the punks at my old High School used to use. The stuff is called Nox....It is a gellitin similar to Jello but with no color or flavor.You can probably but it at any grocery store.It works really well for mohawks and trihawks.....if your into that kind of stuff.The only down side of the product is that it is extreamly hard to wash out!!For example, a friend of mine used it on her mohawk on a monday, slept on it got it wet and it still looked the same a week later! If you are more into a style like blink 182 guys you could use a good hold gel like BIOLAGE GELEE (About $21.00 Canadian in most salons)works good and doesn't flake.Of you could try TIGI BEAD HEAD HAIR STICK(about $18.00 Canadian in most salons).It comes in a container similar to deoderant. This is a bit more heavy and greasy, but if you swirril it around on the top of your head you can spike it up and sleep on it and then spike it up again. I hope this will help you in your quest for good spikes.
I cut my hair in ot a bob too i just blow dry my hair up wet it a little and put bed head on it its a pomade. you can get it any were just be care full how much you use at one time cause i've found that to much of this at one time makes it hard to do your hair... so test it out... sidney1733
