One section of my hair in the back is really kinky and brittle, and it sticks out. The rest of my hair is mostly wavy. I have never permed, straightened, colored, or chemically treated it in any way, so I don`t know why it is damaged. Its very thick and can be frizzy, even without the kinky part. What could be causing this? Can I put something on it to make it softer and lie flat?
