Do you mean goes foward as in hair from the back is going towards the forehead? If that`s what you`re going for, shower(because if you do hair when it`s wet it looks more like hair after it has dried, whereas if you try to gel dry hair, it tends to look like a toupee after it`s done) then comb it in the direction you want it to go, put some gel on your fingers, don`t use the palm of your hand, and run your fingers foward through your hair. Don`t comb it with the gel in your hair though or it will get comb lines. If the lines your fingers made seem too straight & don`t look good, kind of shake your hand left & right as you bring your hand foward. That`s how I used to do my brother`s hair. Hope I helped, if that isn`t really the look you needed help with, sorry! Try to desribe it better & I`ll try again.
