I added a new part to my website on how to make concord clips hair safe(er). The vote is still out on whether these things are truly hair safe, but I ran some hair from my brush up and down these clips before and after the clip-fix, and after was definitely better on the hair than before. (Before it bent and cut the hair terribly).

Note: People always say Ficcare clips are hair safe. I never owned one, so I don't know, but I definitely saw damage after using my knock-off brand ones - they have very sharp edges and a tight spring.

Also, I have a couple of plastic ones from walmart that I believe are already hair safe. They have much rounder edges, and loose springs (but they also shoot right out of my hair and don't hold anything).

Edited to say: Sorry if you can't view my page the first try, if too many people go at once, geocities gets overloaded. Please try again later.

Hi Susan,

Wrapping the clip appears to be a good idea!

Is that your silky and shiny hair held up with the clip? (I'm guessing it is.) Your hair is beautiful!
