Today i getting a haircut at a barbershop, I don't want it short but my hair is like 5 in. and my back is so long like 5 inches from ears, how do I trim my whole hair without messing it up, plus I want to grow my hair out.

If you have uneven length/layers then you'll want to go to a professional, don't do it yourself.
Just let them know exactly what you just said above:
(1) that you're growing your hair out
(2) that want to lose as LITTLE length as possible.
