Hi...In this case...I do have some bad news. Red is the absolute hardest color to get rid of.....once it is in your hair. Red will grab onto the hair shaft and sometimes it is almost impossible to eliminate.Your concern with destroying your hair if you dye it back is a very valid concern. Hair coloring chemicals can be very harsh on your hair.If you used a home hair color kit, check the box to see if there is an 800 number you can call for assistence. Many of the home hair color companies like Clairol and L'Oreal have free hotlines where you can leave a message and a color expert will call you back.I certainly recommend that you consult a professional in your home town that specializing in hair color. They would have the best chance of reversing your color back to as close as your natural color as possible.You may want to check out Robert Craig's hair site at http://www.robertcraig.com/.
