Hi! In my country all the people likes Sebastian, I have heard it isn't as good as other products. In this site all of you talk about Aveda, Redken, Ouidad and some others. I want to know what do you recommend the best and why? I'm planning to visit Miami in a few weeks for vacation, so I would like to get some good products for my hair. I want to hear your important advices and need some help finding the right products. Could you help me giving me some names or directions of salons or beauty supplies in Miami? Thanks a lot, Tatiana (tyazbeck@nacion.co.cr)

Hi Tatiana,I personally think that Aveda and Phytologie make some of the best hair care products I have ever used and I have tried lots of them. I have used Sebastian and recently tried the Wet Liquid Sculpting Gel and did not like it at all. It started out making my hair look shiny and wet but it dried and was gummy.I have been using Aveda as my primary hair care product for many years and the results can be seen in my hair. The most recent Portland photos show what years of Aveda have created.http://www.hiredguns.com/longhair/gallery.htmI did a trial of Phytologie and I liked it a lot. I think if Aveda ever went out of business I would buy all of their products. I also like Fuerter and some of the Bain de Terre products.Actually, while I stick to mostly Aveda except during a trial of hair care products, I do mix and match from time to time. I have tried several of the Sebastian products and they just don't work that well for my hair.It is important to remember that everyone's hair is different and some people do great on Aveda and some don't. I have had mixed results with KMS and I love their Flat Out product.I think you have to decide for yourself which product is best.I don't know any salons in Miami at this time, but I will research it for you. How soon will you be here? If I have some time, I can do more detailed research on the best hair salons. Do you want a long hair specialist? Or just a great salon? Please post your requirements and others who come to Hair Talk can post any info they may have.Regards,Karen> Hi!
