Is Nature's Gate REALLY comparable to Aveda in quality?

I'd really like to now. Because I couple of people told me that with some products, you initially see great results even though your hair is being damaged. But with Aveda, I've always gotten great results. Of course the only problem is the price (I'm a college student, so even with the discount at the beautystore it's rough!) But if Nature's gate is honestly just as good in quality, then maybe I could switch off between Aveda and Nature's Gate. Also, do they have a phone #?
