If your interested in a "pre-shampoo" conditioner, try Sebastian's Potion #7. It's great!

Experimenting again, eh?I would be curious to hear your opinion on pre-shampoo conditioners versus oiling the hair for an while before shampooing. Are they better, worse or indifferent? Thanks.> Hi,> I am currently researching preshampoo conditioners.> Has anyone tried the following:> Senscience Complete Clarifier> JF Lazartique Nature L Nourishing Hair Repair> Treatment> Matrix Systeme Bilage Pre-Shampoo Conditioner> Any other "preshampoo" conditioner? It leaves the hair soft, full, glowing and strong. I still prefer a hot oil treatment with jojoba or olive oil better. You will smell like a pond with a hint of lavender with the Blue Green Algae product. NOt a horrible smell, just different. My own personal favorite for a pre-shampoo conditioning treatment, especially in the winter when the air is very dry, is a mixture of honey and a Haas avocado. You should try it on your skin, too. But, then again, honey alone is best to add moisture to the skin, rather than the fat in the avocado unless your skin is dry. The honey-avocado mixture leaves your hair extremely full, strong and shiny.Happy trails....Bye for now...Jade

Hi Jade,I will definitely consider the Aubrey. I actually saw his line yesterday when I was at the health food store, buying seaweed. :-) I should give it another try.I did not realize that Aubrey made a preshampoo conditioner. I have heard so little about this type of product that I almost expected it to have already disappeared by now.You are right about the honey. I have used it on my face with great results. The problem comes when it gets stuck to my hair. YUCK.I used to get those tiny little jars that they give you with hot tea in restaurants and I would keep one in the bathroom. It worked great. I forget why I stopped using it on my skin. I should try again.I have never tried the avocado/honey recipe...but I certainly need to. It sounds pretty good. I read that Nichole Kidman makes up some sort of homemade treatment for her hair and I think it has honey. Supposedly she drinks whatever is left over because it has such great ingredients. I need to try and remember that recipe. :-)Take care.Karen> Dear Karen,> I know you don't care for Aubrey Organics, but their> Blue Green Algae preshampoo conditioning treatment is> excellent. Hi Tamara,I live to experiment....LOL. Lets just be glad I am into hair and not experiments where you turn a human into a fly or something. :-)Yeah...I am experimenting. I do love the olive oil treatment and I love the Aveda Beautifying Oil treatment. However, I was reading about the preshampoo treatments which seems like a contradiction in some ways. After all, the purpose of a conditioner is to soak into the hair shaft. If you then shampoo....what is the point? Hmmmm.I definitely am going to make a run at these products. :-)Looking good Tamara. The glow from your hair is blinding on the front page. :-)Karen> Experimenting again, eh?> I would be curious to hear your opinion on pre-shampoo> conditioners versus oiling the hair for an while> before shampooing.
