stripper/what to do

I have been growing my hair long for awhile. My manager wants me to grow my hair really long so that I will be able to tie it up and let it flow down when I choose to. My hair is at that in between stage and I like to cover it with a hat while it grows. PROBLEM is that my other job does not let you wear hats and I want to wear something that covers my hair - like a hat - but has to be acceptable. (esp. for a man) what can I do to keep covered up / hide my hair.. for now - it is not long enough to tie it back.
