Karen,Thank you for the article and thinking of me. I AM DISGUSTED with the lack of concern shown by humans (after all, we are animals too) towards are fellow fur, feather, and fin friends. It is now more than ever that the public show their intolerance for such behaviour. Society dictates what the companies produce and how they produce it (to some degree for the latter). If us, as consumers, boycott (namely PROCTOR & GAMBLE) these companies and do not show support for their products, they will have to change.TOGETHER we CAN DO this. Thanks Karen so very much, I now know what step to take in my battle for animal rights. I'm thinking a support group might be wise. A place where we all can discuss what's going on. And even though I am Candian, this is a world wide problem.Jenna

Jenna,Here is a brief note that I cut out just for you.........Sad Day For Lab RatsPage 61 of Beauty Flash in Self Mag for September says that "before cosmetics testing on animals can end, safe alternatives must be developed. Unfortunatley, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Office of Cosmetics & Colors (OCC) has cut funding for such studies". "We were the catalyst in this research, says John Bailey, Ph.D., director of the OCC. Now it's up to private funding such as universities and cosmetics companies, to continue the work."
