Short Fried Hair

Black hair dye is very difficult to lift out to the point of blondness.What to do next depends on what color you want your hair. If you want it blonde you're out of luck untill the current color grows out. However if you liked it red or black either of those would be an excellent color choice because they take very deeply and should be good at covering other shades. You say that your hair is short, so if it has a lot of split ends, a little trim I guess would not be an option. First of all, I hope you did ot pay that salon one penny, because if you were unsatisfied with your results, then you should get your money back. I'm sure you're wary of trying to dye it again, but the best advice that I can give you is to go to the drug store and find a gentle hair dye like Clairol's line of herbal essences. I've had very good luckwith them. Pick a natural, neutral color like a dark blonde or medium brown- make SURE that you pick something that will blend out what you already have, not add another extreme color to the mix, or bleach out what you already have. Have a friend help you and follow the directions very carefully. Since your hair has already been dyed several times, it might pick up color fairly easily- especially since you say it is fried. A good, gentle hair coloring should condition your hair and actually protect it from further damage. *DO NOT choose a permanant dye because it will be TOO HARSH- you are better off using a 24 day or other semi-permanant dye and re-doing it later.
