I have thin straight hair and use velcro rollers daily to add some lift. I heard that they can be damaging to hair? Does anybody know anything about this? I am also searching for a great root lifting spray that won't make my hair oily or stiff. Can you help?

The only thing that really is damaging about them is their tendency to get stuck in your hair. You just have to be careful when you remove them not to let them get tangled & stuck...which would result in broken hair. Just be careful & you should be fine. Also, it's best to unroll the hair in the exact direction you rolled it...will make them much easier to remove. As for root lifting spray, I've never found anything that didn't leave my hair feeling gunky & gross so I don't use it. My suggestion is to get a really good volume mousse for your roots & that should do well. I like AMP Volume Foam by KMS.Hope this helps! Kelly F.
