I want to stop highlighting my hair because of the damage it has caused, and had Redken Shades EQ applied. My hairdresser put in a dark brunette shade (my natural color)with coppery-red highlights. I find it too dark and reddish for my complexion - none of my makeup works with it either. Can I have Shades reapplied right away with more of a buttery-blond color, or do I have to wait the 5-6 weeks for this dark color to fade away? Someone suggested using a Clarifying shampoo which helped, but not enough. I was also told to add a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid to my shampoo but I don't know what I'll end up with - I don't want a brassy red. HELP!!!! =:)
