Hi!I got some information from a friend of mine that baby shampoo is good for the hair because it is so gentle. Is this true? I have fine kinky hair that is also dry and I am looking for a shampoo that is very gentle on my hair. Thanks in advance.

One summer I was stuck out in the sticks with only Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo. When I got back the first thing my stylist said was how great my hair looked. When I told her what I was using she said the conditioner was terrible, and it had to be the baby shampoo, because it had no harsh cleansers and a low ph. Go figure-this is a gal who is usually only happy when I buy Aveda (from a different salon I might add, because hers doesn't carry it)-Renee> Hi!> I got some information from a friend of mine that baby> shampoo is good for the hair because it is so gentle.> Is this true? Hi, Shana!Baby shampoo is an excellent choice, especially for fine hair. It is extremely gentle. I don't know anyone who has tried the Johnson's with the honey and vitamin e, but this may be good for you because of the extra moisturizing capabilities. If you prefer, you can also get plain baby shampoo and add a bit of the oil of your choice like jojoba, or almond.Bye for now,Jade21> I got some information from a friend of mine that baby> shampoo is good for the hair because it is so gentle.> Is this true? I guess I am offering the sole negative comment.... I once bought Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo on the theory that if it was for babies it would be gentle on my hair.... Unfortunately, I found it to be extremely drying and after half of the bottle was used, had to stop using it. My stylist told me that is because J&J baby shampoo is not gentle - it is simply formulated to be tear-free. it has minimal conditioning agents and is essentially just detergents, she said that children usually have great, healthy hair that can stand this formula and that it was not for adults.... I don't know if this is true, or if it applies to all baby shampoos, or specific hair types. I just know that it didn't work for me.JJ> Hi!> I got some information from a friend of mine that baby> shampoo is good for the hair because it is so gentle.> Is this true? Baby shampoos were originally developed for cradle cap.If the detergents are strong enough to remove cradle cap- how stripping can it be on the hair?!
