my hair is both wavy and straight

My hair is in a lightly layered just below shoulder length style (I'd like it a little longer of course but its pretty good.)My question is, the front of my hair is very straight and the back is very wavy. I would love to just have one or the other. I like having longer hair so just cutting it all off is really not something I want to do. I have too much hair (a lot of very fine hair) to dry it straight everyday (to do it right takes about 1 1/2 hours) and curl seems to fall out of the front if I do that.Do I perm the front to match it to the back? Relax the back to match it to the front? The wave is lessened the longer my hair is, but not by much, and the front never gets curlier.I've tried simply applying stuff to my hair (stuff like Sebastian's Get it Straight and KMS version of the same, as well as trying the Aveda Pomades both the humidifying and the de-humidifying) to no avail. I just want a way my hair will look like its all the same.Thanks a bunchBlythe
