i was wondering what is a diffuser? i have long hair that is slightly curly and wavy. i hardly ever blow dry my hair. And i was wondering what difference will a diffuser make on my hair. any explaination will be helpful.

A diffuser either attaches to a blow drier or can be a special style of blow drier that blows the air in a larger pattern. It prevents a small stream of air from straightening the curls.

It works great when you really have to dry your hair but want the curl to remain. Curls generally look better when left to dry on their own but the diffuser helps when you are in a hurry.
