too red...not natural

Ok...for the last four years I was a blonde. I decided it was time to return back to my natural hair color as a medium to dark brunette. my hair colorist on the other hand dyed my hair a dark blackish red. no good. so inorder to lighten it they used bleach which turned it orange. to take out the orange they dyed it again and it turned back to what i went into the salon with. the last try they turned it into a dark auburn color. the color is not horrible, but its certainly not natural. any suggestions on how to get this red color out of my hair? i dont want to keep dying it because i dont want it to fall out and i dont wnat to cut it off. please help!
