hi to all my hair is still dark brown and about 1/4in long i want to go lighter brown but with out going redes brown i saw at the store hi-lift brown would that work lift 3times of your hiar color i have no color in my hair at all what do u guy think?

Color doesn't always do what it claims to do, so your best bet would be to just try a test strand and see.

i would suggest a strand test as well.... you should try it with a 30 or 40 volume developer(but it may damage your hair a bit, so if its already damaged...it may not be a good idea...)

If you're talking about that Feria Hi-Lift browns stuff, I've heard good reviews. Still, the strand test is important.

If your hair is only 1/4 in. long, I'd think you could do pretty much whatever you want to it without fear, because if you didn't like it, it would be gone after your next cut.

Does your natural hair have color(aka virgin hair)?
If not, 20 vol sholud be enough. Sometimes higher volumes create a warmer underlying base. You said you din't want "reddish" Use Ash to combat the warmth your natural hair produses as it lifts.
I can't suggest any store color... Good Luck!
