Hey guys I wanna color my hair with feria, but I heard a lot of bad comments about it. Anybody have any positive experiences with it? I wanna use the black one. ALso, is it bad to color your hair with different brands? Example :I used nutrisse to color my whole hair and now I want to use feria on my roots for touch up..Thanx!

If you are confident that you will never want to do anything else with the hair you are dying with feria again; ie you will either stay eternally black haired or will chop off the affected parts with no regret, then go with feria. The colors and effects are gorgeous, if a little drying.
If you might conceivably want to do something else with that hair in the future, I woudl *strongly* caution you against feria. It contains metallic salts which react badly with color removers such as effasor and color fix and is incredibly difficult to bleach out.
There are lots of other good brands you can try, but before dying your hair black permanently, I urge you to semi-perm first. See if you like it. See if it likes you. Black is not just difficult on your hair to remove if you don't like it, but also incredibly expensive (even if you DIY).

Good luck
I have already been coloring my hair with semiperm. and a few weeks ago I decided to go with prmanent. And though my hair is black it kinda looks dull so a lot of people told me that feria does wonders.. My only concern is that my hair will fall out if I color it again in such a short period...Is it really that hard to change it thoug? Even if i wanted, lets say, dark brown? Thanks for all your suggestions
Oh and can I put feria over the old color again or should I just touch up the roots? I'm scared that the difference btw the roots and the rest of the hair will be very obvious..Thanx

Has your hair faded yet, or do you just have roots? If it hasn't
faded, then don't damage it more by adding unneeded color on the dyed
portion.
The problem with Feria is that if you decide next year you want to be
blonde or light brown, etc. and you still have Feria in your hair (even
if it's faded and you can't see it anymore), you run the risk of hair
meltdown. Feria supposedly can have bad reactions with some
chemicals, especially bleach. Also, you can't use a remover such
as ColorFix on it. If you want permanent black hair, how about
Ultress or something.
Frankly, I prefer using a semi-permanent to go darker because they
don't cause as much damage and they don't lift any natural pigment from
your hair. They're especially good for refreshing color.
And if you just want to shine up your hair, Clairol Colorgloss has a
"clear shine" product. Mix one part Colorgloss clear shine with
one part Radiance (Colorgloss) developer and leave on for 10-15 minutes
(whatever the directions say). You do have to get it from a
beauty supply store, but it should only cost like $7 for both parts,
and you'll have developer left over.
Well I have the roots and the area around them is kinda faded. I guess I won't use feria than, I just read a similar post and the girl had the same dilemma as I and she was advised not to use it..I guess I'll stick with my current color it has no ammonia, will that be easier to remove? I'll try that colorgloss thing, that's just what I was looking for, just had no idea it exists. Thanx a lot for your help!
