Can't do cornrows?-here's an alternative

   I can do cornrows on other peoples hair but have difficulty doing it own my own when doing my weave so I have come up with an alternative.......part your hair in rows along the side and back of your head as you would to do cornrows but instead of plating put your hair into small grids and aply a small snag free elastic band to the root so when youve finished your head is covered in tiny ponytails then connect each pony tail to the one next to it again using snag free bands and work along in rows until you have what looks like a beehive on your head....it serves the same purpose as cornrows and hair can still be sewn on and i also find it holds better than plaits
