OK Girls ...I know now I am officially addicted!

I just realized that I am totally addicted to this site! Ive been a member to Quinns board for a few years and have NEVER posted or even visited the site as many times per day or as long per day, as I do here! Here I sit on a Saturday night at my computer! In the past 3 weeks I realize how much time I spend sitting at this computer and most of my time spent....RIGHT HERE! Ive been a member for 53 days and over 500 posts....that means on an average I post 10 times a day....this is scarey girls I think I am a hopeless addict. I need a program.... LOL

Oh boy....am I pathetic or what! And only other hair addicts like myself could understand this. Everyone else I know would just look at me like a Im a TOTAL FREAKIN NUT CASE.....

I totally understand! I get sooooo bored at work, so I check this board every few minutes, but it kills me because we're not supposed to "actively participate in message boards" at work, which I take to mean I can read but not post.

I've also decided that I have a hair addiction in general. My hair is the one thing in my life I can control (kinda like a lot of eating disorders are all about control). Scary, huh?

Hehe, Jenny, I just took that picture today because a friend wanted to see my new color. Yesterday I put some Special Effects blood red on, but I ran out and the last part I did was a little patchy. Also, my bottle was about 4 years old, so the color came out more magenta than red. I ran to Hot Topic after work, thinking I'd fork out the extra money to get another bottle that day rather than waiting a week to order from the Garment District. Well, they didn't have SFX in blood red in stock, so I got Raw scarlet red. I redid it this morning, so it's a little darker and no longer patchy, but still not the red I was hoping for (probably because the hair underneath didn't have any orange pigment in it anymore).

And it was so cute yesterday, these girls (well 20-somethings I bet) behind me in line at the grocery store were asking what color my hair was. Unfortunately, I think I might tone it down a bit (the top is really bright in certain lighting) by making the top layer dark brown. If I were still in college, I wouldn't care, but I have another job interview on Thursday. And my dad (never mind that I'm 25 and have had strangely colored hair off and on for years!) keeps harassing me and telling me I'll be bald by 30. Grrr.

Oh my, see what happens when I get started on hair color?

I wish I could train my boyfriend to be my hair assistant! That would be so fun (for me, at least). I can hardly get him to brush my hair for me.

I'm trying to talk one of my friends into letting me give her some shrinkie or pinchbraided highlights. I used to color her hair for her, but it is so hard to bleach Asian hair and hers is sooooo darn thick. And come to think of it, she still has a pair of my falls (though she got a great lesson on fall installation and synth maintenance).

Oh, and my problem is that I want everything. I have really long pigtail falls in different colors and textures, I have doll curl falls (so cute!), bags of synth and human hair jammed under my dresser, and now I really want some of Doc Lock's kinky dreadlock braid. I haven't tried dreads....yet. (I tried to make some, but all I got was a ratty mess.)

I was one of those AlternaTeens in High School. I had every color hair. I thought it would stop, and it did from age 23 - TIL NOW. THE EXTENSION WORLD HAS BROUGHT IT BACK hahahaha (age 29)
