I've heard of Lush and I've looked at their catalog, but haven't tried anything yet. Which products do you like, Elissa?

Sympathy for the Skin and Dream Cream are the absolute greatest mouisture creams (for body, not face) that I've ever used. I love them to death! Sympathy looks and smells like a pint of french vanilla ice cream. I also love another one called Potion, which smells like carnations.

Their dusting powders are to die for, especially one called Silky Underwear. I can't live without it now.

If you like tub baths, their bubble bars and bath ballastics are a must.

I'm getting ready to try some of the facial cleansers soon.

All of their stuff is made fresh without preservatives so you can't buy a lot at one time unless you're planning on using it up. And if you decide to order, ask for free samples of whatever you're interested in. They'll send it! Also, splurge for three day shipping, otherwise you have to wait up to three weeks.

I'd love to get your feedback if you decide to order.

Hi,

Good topic. I have had emails as a result asking why we don't sell Lush at HairBoutique.com or why I don't promote it or write about it.

I did try to get the Lush products to carry for my customers but they were not interested in working with HairBoutique.com. So that is why I do not sell them or write about them or promote them.

Ditto with Ficcare. I went out of my way to contact both companies but they both snubbed Hairboutique.com as "not their type of company" so that is why I do not carry those products and that is why I do not promote them or write about them at HairBoutique.com.

They are certainly entitled to their opinions and if they don't feel HairBoutique.com is good enough to sell their products, that is their choice, but I don't feel I need to promote them or their products if they don't think we are good enough for them. Maybe I am wrong and should promote them anyway even though they acted the way they did, but I tend to be a little unwilling to promote companies that act that way.

Yes, it is true that ARTec and Paul Mitchell and TIGI do not "officially" sell on the Net or to HairBoutique.com and I respect that, but Lush does sell on the net and so does Ficcare. Also, ARTec and Paul Mitchell and TIGI actually promote HairBoutique.com to their customers and Paul Mitchell schools actually use HairBoutique.com as a resource.

Anyway, for any future emails asking me why I do not carry Lush or Ficcarre, that is why.

Best wishes,
Karen

Karen,

Personally, I think any manufacturer would be lucky to do business with you, but for whatever reason, so far LUSH has not allowed anyone else to sell their products. I'm sure it's not specific to hairboutique.com.

But that wasn't very nice of them to put it that way. Because of that, I won't go out of my way to discuss their products here anymore.

Thank you for addressing this here.

Elissa
