how do you know the post are real or marketing people trying to sell stuff?

i saw on 60 minutes and 20/20 that the chat room are their new stuff they used more "direct" approach by hiring young to spend hour on chat room or by talking laud about product in the street/bus/ subway etc..... I just wonder how to distinguish flaus advises on site like this one
