Speaking of Swatches, here is a testament to my occasional bouts of utter stupidity: When I was 14 (in '95...eight years it's been already!) I went to Europe and visited Switzerland, home of the Swatch. We stayed in Lucerne, a beautiful, beautiful lakeside/mountainside city where we found Swatches made from crushed Coke cans for $50!!!!!

AND GUESS WHO DIDN'T BUY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

J Peterman black silk skirt with a waistline like the 1940s "trouser pants". White sleeveless cotton blouse with pintucks in front and a mandarin collar. There is a delicate tie in the back. Black linen plain pumps with a black and white checked cotton/linen purse. It's a very simple outfit but it is extremely eye-catching.

Oh, I am a Swatch fanatic!! I own four watches. I find them extremely unique and totally cool. My favorite is a black and white one, on which I've had to replace the wristband twice because I wore it out... Btw, are there Swatch stores in the US?

There are a few stores. One was mentioned as being in Times Square and I personally know of one in Union Station in DC. Swatch also has a website with an online store, and I know of at least one department store (Fortunoff) which carries them.

I have a very faithful long-sleeved T-shirt from Mexx (German chain store) that I wear to death. It's black and stretchy with a silver pattern on the front and tiny sparkles. I also have a favourite pair of jeans from the tall section at Dorothy Perkins that fit like a dream and work well with my beloved canvas shoe assortment.

Either my 1974 replica Falmer jeans, or my £5 black trousers that I found in a New Look sale, with my beige military style shirt and black ankle boots with my mum's old brown leather jacket from the 70s. It's weird, because I've seen pictures of my mum wearing the exact same outfit, with the jeans from the first time around, the same jacket and a similar shirt. It's kinda weird, too. I make most of my own jewelery though. I specialise in friendship bracelets. I've made about 50 in colours to match my entire wardrobe. Fun!
