I bought a slip to go under a moderately see-through white gauze dress that I have. I wore them both yesterday. The slip nearly drove me up the wall! It refused to stay put. Every time I took a step, it crept up my legs until it was more like a belt than a slip.

What can I do? Someone suggested to me that I sew the slip into the dress. An interesting idea, but I really want to be able to wear the slip with other things. Maybe I should buy some white fabric and sew a lining into the dress.
Maybe I could sew some heavy trim on the bottom of the slip so it would stay weighted down.
I should ask my grandmother this question. She'd know what to do.
