I know we just covered Bonnie Hunt a couple months ago during the Golden Globes, but on her TV show "Life with Bonnie," her hair keeps getting shorter an shorter... and I feel like watching it less and less. Short (well, its above the shoulder now, as short as I've ever seen it) does not suit Bonnie well.

What prompted this writing was not "Life with Bonnie," but a commercial for the upcoming "Jumanji" movie that will air soon on TV. Bonnie's hair was much longer then and, as a result, her face looked thinner. We don't talk about the effects of long hair much, but I guess she's an example of how it can make one look thinner. I guess she probably could have been thinner then, but the longer hair didn't hurt any. (Not that her hair was even close to Jane Seymour length, for example, but it was mid-back length.) Here's a black and white photo from Jumanji: http://movieweb.com/movie/jumanji/bw2.jpg

Here are a couple from the good old days during appearances on "Late Night with David Letterman": http://letterman.iscool.com/march/3-7b.jpg

And I really like this one with her hair up: http://members.aol.com/NewportAve/Bonnie20B.jpg

Here was Bonnie's length at the start of "Life with Bonnie." http://www.newyorkmetro.com/nymetro/urban/seasons/fallpreview2002/bonniehunt_02_175.jpg

I couldn't find any photos of her at her current length, but, to be honest, I didn't try very hard.

Hey Gord,
Check her out at wireimage. Click on "celebrities" at the top of the page then "b" and look her up. Its pretty short, above chin.

Maybe her stylists have been scissor-happy because they're trying to get rid of damaged hair or something.

I like the Letterman pics the best.

And that pic with her hair up is from that David Schwimmer/Jason Lee movie, I think....

Don't blame the stylist for Bonnie's age... Personally, I think that she can look younger in a much shorter, boyish cut.

I went to wireimage and typed in Bonnie Hunt - I think her chin length bob is fantastic. I really didn't like the longer haired photos that were posted on this board. The last pic posted was ok though.
I didn't notice any difference between fat face/thin face according to hair length. It would be hard to compare photos anyway since they are taken at different distances with different angles and expressions....

Bonnie Hunt has the most amazing hair. It is so thick, shiny and healty. I doubt they cut it off for damaged ends.
I think her hair looks great at both lengths! She probably just wanted something different for a while. I bet she grows it back. Or, heres a thought. She is playing a VERY busy mom on the show perhaps she figured it was unrealistic to have such high maintenance hair! You never know!

My favorite Bonnie style is from the movie The Green Mile, in which it was about shoulder length and softened up with lots of thick curls (this will not surprise anyone who knows me...):

http://us.imdb.com/EGallery?source=ss&group=0120689&photo=Ss/0120689/7&path=pgallery&path_key=Hunt,%20Bonnie

That picture doesn't quite do her justice, but it's the only one on the site.

As for the new, short bob in Wireimage, I have generally liked seeing her go successively shorter on Life With Bonnie, and was curious just how far she would go. Doesn't make her look older or make her face look fatter, IMHO. This bob, I think, is a bit too short though. Instead of keeping the bluntness but changing the length, though, I'd like to see her change the style - cut through it a bit, add some layers, maybe grow the bangs out a bit. I think that would show off her gorgeous hair more.

Course, that suggestion won't surprise anyone who knows me either....
