Well, if it's on Good Morning America, it must be an Official Trend.... they had a segment this morning on bangs in which four women appeared with newly created bangs (three off-air beforehand, one on-air). The stylist really emphasized how bangs instantly soften an overall look, and how they can still be versatile with the right styling products (pushed to one side, combed back, etc).

I've always been a fan of bangs, but I was still really impressed with the difference it made on the models. Really softened up their whole face, brought out their eyes and their smiles. Toward the end, the stylist said to host (and News Babe) Elizabeth Vargas "hey, why don't we do yours next?" to which Elizabeth hinted that she was considering it!

Curious to hear from women who do and don't have bangs what they think about the trend, and which celebs they like most with bangs. As a guy, I think it looks wonderful on most women. Hope it's a trend that continues....

I think she may have gone ahead with it. At least today she seemed to have more bangs than before...

I don't have bangs, but I love the trend of long bangs swept to the side..I might even do it..hmm..

My only problem is growing them out if I decide I hate them..

As Layered as your hair seems to be if you go with longish ones when decide to grow them out, it would be no time before they were just another layer as opposed to looking like grown out bangs in a one lenth do.

I think you would look good with any lenght bangs and as Hal said with as layered as your hair is it would be no big deal grwoing them out. But I think if you do cut them try out bangs that are just above the brows, if you don't like them that short it won't take long to grow out and if you do like them then you know you look good with short bangs and have a cute new style to wear for a while untill you get bord wit them.]

Thanks guys

I think I might get bangs next time I go get my haircut (November), but I absolutely hate the "blunt" cuts..I need layers and movement and what not.

November? Women plan for haircuts that far ahead of time? Do you have to schedule your appointments that far ahead of time because your stylist is so busy, or does your stylist really have you brainwashed into thinking you have to get your hair cut on a regular basis? Or is it your new hairstyle for the office Christmas party? E-mail me in late October and I'll talk you out of a haircut all together.

My stylist is rather busy but I only need to give 2 weeks notice..he told me I shouldn't cut it for 2 months or so, but I usually go like 6 months before I trim it..haha.

I was actually thinking about chopping some of it off..but I guess we'll see. I will probably go for bangs too..if I cut a lot off.

Don't tell Gord your thinking of cutting allot off, he will cry all the way till November. Just remember it does grow back, but if you do some thing drastic its good to do it when no one will see you for a while in case it don't turn out the way you like it has time to grow some!
Layers are cool, your current style from what i can make out in your pic is nice to. Some times one lenght cuts don't always work on some people and layers don't work for others. Just like bangs work for some and others look very bad with bangs. Just do what ever is comfortable for you, after all your the one stuck with it if you hate it!
