QuoteReplyTopic: HAIR COLOR GONE BAD, HELP! Posted: June 06 2001 at 11:27pm
ok i deciced to color my hair with manic panic semi-permanent hair color in vampire red (my hair is naturally dark dark brown, so i thought a red tint would be sexy) and after i got done with the coloring, my hair looked AWFUL. the color was not red, it was purple. so now i have purple tints in my hair that i dont want.
someone told me if i washed my hair with laundry detergent (the granuals) the color would go away. i have surf with color-safe bleach, but i am afraid that the bleach will hurt my hair
also, someone said dishwashing liquids worked well also when trying to remove hair colorings
if all else fails, if sat in the shower and washed my hair like 20 times, would the coloring even fade alot?
i want anything (besides bleach & another dye) to get this out of my hair!!
I have heard of this bran, but I`m not sure if it is a semi or perm color. Was your hair bleached or did you apply it to your natural color? You could try dish soap, it`s stronger than shampoo or prell shampoo. After your done, deep conditon. Red fades quick. it`s the largest molucule (sp).

I`ve heard about the effectiveness of laundry detergent, but only Tide detergent. Don`t use bleach or color-safe bleach varieties (it`s not worth the chance). Also Prell Shampoo and Head and Shoulders are supposed to fade hair really quickly. HOpe that helps!
