Bella, I actually went for a consiltation on saturday to get hair extension. I paid $50 for the consiltation and $300 for the hair to be put in. I got a quote for $200 per hour to have them glued into my head. After reading your story I cant even imagine going through with it. I know a few friends that have had it done and they all told me NOT to do it. Being desperate to achieve long full hair I would practiacally do and pay anything. However, I can not afford to ruin my already damaged hair anymore.
I suggest that you go back to the salon (if you already havent) and have them taken out! I Hope your hair is not damaged! Im sorry I couldnt help much but let me know how it went! ,,, Mareeya

I thought I did my research. I went to a specialist salon where they do dreads, braids, weaves and extensions. He had being doing this for at least 15 years, and he was a hairdresser before. He wanted $250 for the extensions that are attached with the special glue. This was alot cheaper than the hairdresser who wanted $600, but then I guess you get what you pay for. May be I should have just stuck with a weave or braids.

After about one week my scalp was constantly itchy I must be allergic to the glue. As I have oily skin my hair does need washing everyday even thought I used the "hard" shampoo. To top it off I have curly hair and the extension hair is wavy unless I blowdry all the hair straight it doesn`t match. So during the week it is easier to tye it back and on the weekends when I go out I blowdry it straight.

It has been six weeks since I had them put in and I have lost at least 9/10 of the original hair that was out in.
Now I am depressed because I am worried that my own hair is damaged. Plus my birthday is on this weekend and I need it fixed. My mom is calling around to find the lotion to take the glue out(as that is all that is left in my hair). Are there any products I can purchase from the hairdresser wholesaler to take the rest of the glue out??
Any clue on how to get this damn glue out of my hair?

For future reference can I get hair extensions that will match my curly hair? Is is better just to get a weave or braids?? Will it be ok to dye my roots when I have had the extensions taken out? Will a weave or braids be ok if they are done the following day when the glue is taken out?

****Please email me if you can help me****
