How did you solve the problem. My highlights are also chunky, and I can't seem to get rid of them. Any advice would be helpful.

My hair is chestnut brown. I agreed to some highlights but they are too "chunky" in parts and must tone down ASAP. They are 2 days old. Can I color over (semi-permanent?) and what color would be best in order to restore natural color overtones?
Any suggestions would be helpful.
