Hey! Oh, how many times have I said that!!! I know exactly how you feel, girl! I`ve always had naturally very curly hair and there`s NOTHING I can do to get it straight. Its always been unruly and hard to deal with until pretty recently- I got it cut pretty short by a stylist who sorta specializes in curly hair. Not saying that that`s what you should do or anything, but a good cut can make curly hair much easier to work with. I finally like my hair (for the most part) since I got this cut. Still, tho, sometimes I`ll see some girl with long, super striahgt hair and wish that mine looked like that. So don`t feel bad, OK? There are lots of us out there, and I`ll bet that everyone with curly hair gets angry & frustrated with it. The right cut can help a lot tho. Or you could try straightening it- it depends on how curly it is & what kind of hair you have...it might work better for you than it did for me. On the bright side, I`ll bet that you`ve had a bunch of people tell you that they wish their hair was curly like yours...that IS a compliment, even if it makes you grit your teeth and growl (or maybe thats just me...) Lotsa Love, your curly-haired sista Ingrid

Hey! Sorry its so much trouble for you...have you tried any kind of deep conditioners? What about a hot oil treatment (I`ve never done one of those, but I hear that they tend to work). There`s this one treatment I`ve done a couple times- its called Cholesterol...I forget who its made by. You can get it at any Walgreens-type store. ITs kinda gross, since it is actually just almost pure cholesterol that you put on your hair, but it helps to smooth out some of those frizzies. I used it use it before I cut mine, cuz it was frizzed really bad. Oh yeah, do you color it or bleach it or anything? That can totally wreck your hair :( Anyway, hope I could help. Good luck growing your hair out & I hope it gets better for ya! Love, Ingrid

lol, no worries :) and dont worry, u werent sounding rude :)
ok, i tried something last night, and my hair is really badly damaged, i think you should atleast give it a go..
ok, i washed and conditioned my hair, and then left it to air dry.
The next day (yesterday) i thought "i wanna do something with my hair," so i tried something out.
I applied a little John Frieda Beach Blonde conditioning oil to my dry hair, and then sort of scrunched it, encouraging curls. THEN, i sprayed some John Frieda Relax range curl builder spray thingy, (forgot what its called) and, bloody ell, it really does work..... i really do advise you, just spray it on dry hair, and scrunch again to encourage curls..... all my nasty horrible dry frizzy bits have gone :)
just give it a try, but remember, leave ur hair to dry naturally, and only use shampoo and conditioiner :)
IF you are really having a problem, I can suggest a mild relaxer for you. I have similar hair and problems and I always keep a mild relaxer in my hair. It does wonders while still giving you some curl. I like Revlon at Sally Beauty Supply. It is easy to do. You buy the relaxer already mixed up, you only need to get the neutralizing shampoo with it (right next to it on the shelf). I have been doing my own hair for the past 16 years and it always looks fabulous. I still have a curl but not the frizzy tangles you are talking about. You can send me email offline if want more help with this. mmcghee@ergpa.org

I learned a lot about curly hair from one of my friends with my exact same hair. After some of her tips I can now say for the first time in my life im beginning to love it! If these don`t work a little then i don`t know what will. The first really helpful thing is a ton of products that you can choose to use on your hair. I always use a leave in conditioner when i get out of the shower or when my hair is wet. Its what my stylist told me to use because curly hair needs a lot of moisture or it will get fizzy. You can use this along with other products such as moose or gel. But, if your curls are still out of control, then try using something called bed head. You may have heard about it but it really works. Its kinda expensive but what isnt that will do a good job? my favorite product by bed head is called Manipulator. Its pretty much glue. Blue glue. haha it works like a charm and it will tame any frizz. It works on me and my hair used to be horrible! I hope you find the same results.
