I would agree and say about 4 years because if hair grows 6 inches per year then you`re talking about 24 inches in 4 years, however, more and likely your hair wont grow like that consistently since it goes through a resting stage. So deducting a few inches from the 24 for the resting stage its safe to say you would get that length in about 4 years.
well hon, it depends on your genes. Are you sure your hair can even reach that long? Wow! well anyway if your hair can get that long it will probably take about 7 years or so.
i`ve already been to growafrohairlong.com chocalate but thanks anyway. Yes jessic i am sure i can grow hair that long my mother has hair that is almost to her waist.
My hair can go pretty long too! all you have to do is take care of your hair. think positive, drink water, take vitamins and herbs, and exercise your hair will grow faster.
My mother and her sisters all have hair that reaches at the tailbone. I on the other hand have been bald all my life, it wasn`t until last year that my hair has started to grow . its now to my chin. This is the longest my hair has EVER been !!!!!
If your hair won`t grow long like your mom and sisters it`s probably because you just took after somebody with shorter hair on the other side. You don`t always get the same gene as your sisters get u know. that`s why it has something to do with you genes when growing your hair.
I know all about genes. what i am saying is sometimes it doesn`t matter when it comes to hair growth . I didn`t mention my fathers side of the family but they too have extreemly long hair . now maybe there was someone 10 generations back who was "bald" like me, I wouldn`t know. but as far as my immediate family i was the unlucky one when it came to hair. good thing i got the looks LOL
I don`t think that`s true Ice Angel, it depends on the African American. Some people`s hair grows faster than others. Generalizing that NO blacks can grow their hair to their waist or beyond in less than 4 yrs is a blanket statement is not necessarily true. For instance, I have only been growing my hair out for two years and it`s brastrap length. At this rate, in another 2 years it`s bound to be somewhere close to waist.
The fastest I seen a black woman hair come down to her waist was six years. I don`t think I have heard a black woman hair grow down to their waist less then four years, unless you keep it braided or something. Plus you know the longer your hair grows the slower it grow, right? your hair don`t grow forever, so it will stop a certain length.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our life.
Not trying to be smart or anything, Dragooney, but I think the saying you are trying to use in your post is "Life is 10% of what happens and 90% how I react to it", meaning that it`s not what happens that matters, but rather, how you deal with it. (good saying, but I just think you had it a little mixed up.) **in response to your post, I am not saying that all black women will reach waist length in 4 years or maybe even ever, but the other poster made a blanket comment that NO african american is CAPABLE of achieving waist length hair in 4 years. I don`t agree with that. There is an exception to every rule.**
Okay, I agree a little now. Some black woman hair can grow down to their wasit in 5 years, but i think It is very rare to find them. It also depends on the way you take care of your hair. I have heard a product called Biosynthesis growing people hair like crazy looong! I`m planing to order it and using for the next couple months, I hope this grows my hair down to my waist.
